We send a tailored data pack and support you as you gather the information.

What we do

  • Provide tailored data collection resources
  • Guide you through every question
  • Fill gaps with high-quality generic data

What you do

  • Share data on materials, manufacturing, energy, water, packaging, transport and waste

What you get

What we will ask you for

Every EPD is built on product-specific data. We send tailored resources to make collecting it simple.

  • Raw material details
  • Manufacturing processes
  • Energy and water use
  • Packaging information
  • Transportation details
  • Production waste

Missing some data? That's normal. Gaps can be filled with high-quality generic data from reputable databases, so you still get a reliable EPD.

Timeline

How long it takes

10 to 14 weeksTypical time from first data to published EPD

The timeline covers data collection, the assessment, preparing your EPD and third-party verification. The biggest factors are the complexity of your product and how quickly data can be shared.

Carbon footprints

Product carbon footprints for manufacturers

A Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) gives you a clear picture of your product's carbon impact, without the full EPD process.

It uses the same kind of product data and the same hands-on support as our EPD service. Many manufacturers start with a PCF to answer customer questions about embodied carbon, then build on it with an EPD later.
